5 out of 5 stars Gas Level Indicator   January 6, 2009

So far, so good. I have only used my grill twice since installing the guage and I am very pleased with it so far. I did not find that the flow of gas from the cylinder to the grill was slowed down in any way. I would highly recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars Item works great.   December 20, 2008
This device works great. I realize just how much propane was being dumped because I would buy a new tank before the weekend to ensure I didn't run out or I'd be cooking 60 dollar steaks and run out...Argh! But my wife and I really like this device and would recommend it to others.

2 out of 5 stars Caution !!! Not a reliable product.   October 24, 2008

I have my guage installed for about 3 mo. now. It worked fine for most of that time, than the problems started. At first it would restrict the gas flow to the grill, to the point where I would only get a tiny flame even when it was turned on high. This was sparatic some times it would work fine. Next I did not get any flame at all, and the guage read empty. I was about to take the tank to be recharged, until I lifted it and it was heavy. I put it on the bathroom scale and sure enough it was way over the empty tank weight. If I fool with the valve,it will start working again. If I knew it was going to be this unreliabe I never would have bought it. Even though the old tank on the scale method is a pain, it is defenitly more reliable. The empty weight is stamped on the side of the tank. Also if you do buy this make sure you have the extra 3 1/2" in your cabinet for the lenght of the valve.I had the room but I had to move the tank off its mounting slot. UPDATE;;; I took it off, just to many problems with it.

5 out of 5 stars So far so good   September 23, 2008
I was a little hesitant based on some earlier reviews about this item since I use a smaller, non-standard 14.6 lb tank. But, that said, I was able to hook it up and it works like a charm. Guage read instantly and was right where I expected the level to be since I recently did a refill. No complaints and a hopefully will be a long lasting item. I will keep this posted updated in the event my luck runs out with this item.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent essential for gas grilling   September 21, 2008
This is an essential buy if you have a gas grill.
Easy to install, eliminates wasteing gas by avoiding prematurely changing tanks, stops possibility of running out of gas during a grilling session.

just check it for leaks wiyh soapy water when you first install it. - btw no tools needed for installation
